Item Generation: Fur Method
This basic generation method allows unlimited item types with infinite durability.
- Use 64thIR with SP96 to generate Fur (0 durability)
- Use 64thIR with SP101 and unequip the Fur (0 durability)
- Adjust the screen position to X=-1
- Use 64thIR with SP101 again to generate Fur (infinite durability)
- Use 64thIR with SP102 and unequip the Fur (infinite durability)
- Adjust the screen position’s Y-value to the item ID you want
- Use 64thIR with SP102 and collect the item
- Return the screen position and button config to default
Step 1 is possible with SP95 etc. if you’re prepared enough. Step 8 can be done anytime after Step 1, but if the second page of the button config is displayed before the original config is restored, there’s a risk of freezing the game. On Step 5, a blank slot with 30 durability (when the original Y-value was 0) appears and the window color changes. On Step 7, the window color will return to normal by unequiping the blank slot. On Step 6, depending on the item you want, the bottom of the screen will be partially hidden. For this reason, the equipment to be swapped should be placed at the top or the bottom of the screen to make it easier to perform.
Item Generation: Button Config Method
Since it’s possible to generate items with SP82, this method is usually used to generate items that increase SP for when you don’t have enough SP to use the fur method. You need to prepare a blank slot with appropriate durability. Appropriate durability is unaffected by the d-pad and has very few bits (recommendations are 1, 2, 4, 8).
Example: how to generate Eternity Staff
- Your SP should be 82-85, 87-91, 95, or 96
- Equip an item with a between 1-10, and 12 and unequip it to create a blank slot with that durability value
- Use 64thIR and replace the blank slot
- Add “○△L2” to the corresponding action
- Use 64thIR again and generate Eternity Staff
- Return the button config to default
Before doing Step 4, you net to set both R2 and L2 as the Accept and Quick Save buttons respectively. Note that this will change how they operate. Don’t forget to change it back to its default settings. You can change the generated item by changing the button config on Step 4. Some examples are:
- [blank] [blank] × = Elder Bow
- ○ R1 R2 = Holly Staff
- △ × □ = Deep Blue
Item Generation: Config Method
This section covers a simplified version of the Fur Method to easily generate specific items. With SP101, you can create items by messing around with (Sound, Vibration, Help). You can adjust the durability by changing the X-value. You can create the following six types of items:
- Tree Twig (mono, off, on)
- Puddle (stereo, on, on)
- Wood Dagger (stereo, off, off: default state)
- Stone Knife (mono, off, off)
- Wood Sword (stereo, on, off)
- Fossil Sword (mono, on, off)
Use this method to earn chips and procure items for flag and scenario manipulation.
Item Generation: Y-Value Adjustment Method
This section covers how to generate an item using the screen position’s Y-value. The item is created by using 64thIR with SP102 and unequipping a blank item while messing with the Y-value. A Y-value between -8 and 9 can be used to generate items. This is used to procure items for flag and scenario manipulation. The window color will change, but can be restored by first creating an item with 30 durability and then unequipping that item at the end.
Durability Conversion
This section covers a simplified version of the Fur Method to only change durability. You can change the durability by adjusting the screen position’s X-value with SP101. If you want to change the durability of an item that increases/decreases SP, your SP must stay at 101 when you equip it.
Item Type Conversion
This section covers a simplified version of the Fur Method to only change the type of item you generate. Use SP102 and adjust the Y-value to change the item type. Note that if the original item being used with this method is not Fur or Stardust Robe, it will place a limit on the types of items you can generate. Again, if you want to change the durability of an item that increases/decreases SP, your SP must stay at 102 when you equip it.
Cancel Fixed Equipment
Fixed equipment can’t be removed when changing equipment, but items in Gustave’s weapons section in “Gustave and the Blacksmith” can be moved to the items section by forcing him to equip a Trial Dagger. Also, 13-year-old Gustave can only use the Button Config method due to limited SP, but if he has more SP through age training, he can use the fur method.
Y-Value Adjustment – Item Table
“↑↓” indicates changeable directions, “F” indicates fixed equipment (can’t be removed).
