Localization Restoration Mod – version 1.0 released!

I have created a mod that restores various aspects of the original localization of this game with some help from Haledire, the scripting mastermind, and Sevon, the translation genius (and also the guy who translated The Essence of SaGa Frontier). This includes things like item names, attack names, locations, and other miscellaneous things like BUCCI. This patch also fixes the combo system’s names to be in its true form (e.g. Hymn Heaven and Earth is now displayed as SacredHell) and fixes some typos the new localization team made.

To install this patch, simply download the .zip file from the link at the end of this post and follow what the README says. If you have any issues with installing or using this mod, please reach out to me or Haledire either directly or through the Modern SaGa Modding Discord server, which will also be linked at the end of this post.

I worked super hard on getting everything just right and Haledire worked extra hard on getting a nice installation script written, so I’d greatly appreciate it if you also gave this mod a share on other platforms.

I “remastered” the first SaGa Frontier trailer!

I redid the first trailer shown for SaGa Frontier! I think it turned out really good, despite my difficulties with getting Soundtrap to do the music properly. Anyway, go watch it:

Also there’s a Soundcloud link in the video description.

I got a decent Red PB now; 1:20:02!!!

Was a decent run except I got stuck with Smash and KaiserWing of all the fucking things headed into solo Shuzer, which forced me to go get the VitalityRune. Dodges were also not nice to me, but hey at least I only got +16 encounters instead of +17. Anyway go watch the run it’s cool:

The Emelia Showdown is officially over!

WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW! I’m super happy this event went so well. I was not expecting to hit 25 viewers on day 1 and then 30 on day 2. I also wasn’t expecting for not one, not two, but three of the four runners to get new personal bests. I also also wasn’t expecting the finals to be as close and nail-biting as they ended up being. Everything went super well after some minor technical difficulties on day 1 and the event was an overall success. Because of this, I will most likely be hosting more events in the future, possibly some more races or even a marathon. Of course, not anytime soon as I’m absolutely exhausted, but sometime.

If you missed the event and want to catch up, you can find a playlist of the day 1 matches here:

and a playlist of the day 2 finals here:

I’m hosting an Emelia speedrun tournament!

Anyone is free to enter, so long as either a) you already have a personal best in the category, or b) you will get a personal best before the competition. It will take place during a weekend in January, but the date hasn’t been set in stone yet as I want to make sure almost everyone is available the day of the event. If you happen to not be available when the tournament is being hosted, you can arrange to have your race be pre-recorded and the commentator(s) will react to it live on stream. Registration closes on December 20th at 11:59 pm PST. I’ll message each runner if they got in the day registration closes, then I’ll make a formal announcement about a week after. You can register here: https://forms.gle/2RtA9FFd4RTf2PmY8

And here’s a trailer I put together. Feel free to share it:
