SPEEDRUN.COM LEADERBOARDS

Global Rules:

  • Timing:
    • SRC = starts upon selecting “New Game” and ends upon killing Egg
    • ニコ = starts upon selecting “New Game” and ends upon the credits music ending
      • Optionally, you can begin time from power on, though it will be converted automatically to the above timing standards
  • Turbo:
    • On the English version, turbo is not allowed
    • On the Japanese version, turbo is allowed due to the NicoNico Leaderboards historically allowing it
  • The use of PocketStation is allowed
  • Video proof is required for all runs submitted
    • Videos that are locked behind a paywall are not allowed
  • The use of mods like HDLoader are not allowed
  • On emulator:
    • The use of turbo, speed-up, and doing anything otherwise not possible on a real console is not allowed

Conversion between timing standards will be done by ffvd_games if it hasn’t been done already.

Note that the timing conversion from Peercast to NicoNico may be slightly inaccurate. If it is incorrect, please DM me on Twitter and I will correct it ASAP.

Category Rules:

  • Any%
    • All glitches are allowed
    • The usage of New Game+ is not allowed

  • All Scenarios
    • Any% NMG rules apply, but you must also complete all scenarios
  • Any% NG+
    • All glitches are allowed
    • The usage of New Game+ is allowed
  • Any% NG+ NMG

For TA Runs:

  • In-game time is used. Time ends upon saving just before viewing Your History
    • When submitting, use the time reported on the save file
  • A written route with your notes is required for all runs submitted
    • You must also provide exact stats for things like damage dealt, combo order, equipment changes, etc.
  • Video proof is not required, though it helps strengthen the veracity of your run
  • Turbo is allowed
  • On emulator:
    • You are allowed to look at memory, but only to see the current in-game time
      • This can be used when submitting runs, but only directly after the final save has been created

Note that the records for TA runs may be inaccurate due to how old the records are. If a time is missing that should be on there, DM me on Twitter with a link to the run’s route and I’ll add it ASAP.

As stated on the home page, if you would like your run to not be listed on this page, please DM me on Twitter and I will remove it ASAP.
