Video Editing

I am a self-taught video editor. I have been doing this for three years. The editor I use is Hitfilm Express, which is a powerful, free editor that can create powerful composite shots. The reason why I use Hitfilm Express over other editors like Adobe Premiere or Sony Vegas is because I can’t afford the license to a more standard video editing solution. I don’t have as much time as I would like to have to devote to editing because I am going to college for computer science and I am training to be a top level short track speed skater. The videos I have listed here are videos that I both like a lot and think showcase my abilities and skill as an editor.

[Current PB] SaGa Frontier – Lute’s Story (NTSC-J) in 38:27

Nothing super fancy, I just think it tells an effective story

[Tied World Record] Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!! Glass Joe in 42.00

Super meme-y video, but I think it builds a good storyline out of a meme of a character.

[Former WR] Fishy – Fishy2 Preview% in 1:09.90

This was mostly just a meme, but I like the way it turned out.

[2nd Place] Smallant1 Editing Challenge

This is the most recent casual edit I have done that I’m really proud of. There is one major flaw in it, but it can be easily fixed.

Exploring an eBay 108-in-1 Game Boy Cart

This is the most recent personal project I have done. I’m happy with how it turned out.

Supper Time – Intro Cutscene – DUMMY – v2.0

This is an example intro cutscene I made for an indie game dev studio I’m collaborating with.

Supper Time – Character Selection Menu – DUMMY

This is an example character selection menu I made for an indie game dev studio I’m collaborating with.

The Life of a Proton

This is the most recent school project I have done. I was 16 when I made this, so it’s a bit messy, but I still like it.
