Deleting Facebook

So this is a big step. I’ve been heavily considering this decision since the Facebook privacy scandal, but I could never reach a decision. I wanted to delete my Facebook, but I also didn’t want to lose contact with the family that I have on there. So the other day, I held a poll on my personal Instagram asking my friends and family what they think I should do; keep my Facebook or toss it. About 70% said to toss it.

So that’s exactly what I’m doing.

I’m aware that deleting my Facebook page will affect how I do business and how much potential reach I could have, but I feel that this is the best decision I can make. If Facebook can’t keep my data secure, even if there’s something hanging over their heads, then they don’t deserve me as their customer. I take privacy very seriously.

By the time you are reading this post, the Flippin’ Fun Video Games Facebook page will most likely be gone. My personal Facebook account will just be deactivated so people I’m friends with can still message me on Messenger if they really want to (although why would you want to message someone through a Facebook app?).

Thank you for understanding this decision. You can still follow what I do away from the YouTube camera on Instagram and Twitter.

Cheers.
